The 1846 Bar in Bath

The 1846 Bar

The “1846” bar is named in recognition of the year that The Royal was first established as a hotel. It has recently been elegantly restyled and refurbished.

There is an extensive range of excellent home made bar snacks and light meals served from 12 noon to 9 p.m. daily in the lounge bar. Both bars feature real ales in addition to a full range of other drinks including a wide selection of wines by the bottle and glass, lagers and cocktails.

Freshly made coffees – cappuccino, latte and espresso – and a selection of teas together with pastries, sandwiches and cream teas are available throughout the day.

“Drinks ”

Very nice setting in the lounge bar. Friendly and efficient waiter. Good range of drinks including cocktails. Would recommend as a place near to the station and for its relaxed atmosphere.

“A lovely bar meal in hotel across from rail station”

Having visited Bath for the day, and walked miles round the beautiful town we wanted to eat near the theatre that we went to in the evening. The Royal is just across my the rail station and we had a bar meal in the lounge. The staff were very friendly, and the food was excellent for the price, 2 courses for £10. They also had cask ales for the real ale drinkers. Couldn’t comment on the Royal as a hotel but what I did see looked clean and comfortable. Would go again.
