Roman Baths Museum

The Roman Baths are home to the well-preserved public baths and museums of ancient Roman architecture. The Roman Museum is home to many of the ancient discoveries that have been found or unearthed in the city of Bath since its inception.

It’s an absolutely brilliant attraction to take your family and makes an excellent starting point to springboard your stay in Bath. Best of all, you don’t need to spend your entire day at the Roman Museum to see all that it has to offer.

You can therefore plan your day ahead and get in many other attractions in a single day.

Thermae Bath Spa

In order to get the ultimate relaxation after a day of sightseeing, be sure to go to the roof of Thermae Bath Spa. There, you will enjoy natural hot spring water from the hot springs in the area. See for yourself why more than 250,000 tourists visit Bath every year.

The new Royal Baths, the central building of the spa, was designed by Grimshaw Architects. It was constructed from stone directly from Bath and enclosed in a gorgeous glass envelope. Here, you will find a lot of fun and enjoyment from the natural hot springs. It’s the perfect place to wind down.

The Royal Crescent

The Royal Crescent is a stunning row of houses arranged in the crescent shape of Bath. Designed by the architect John Wood somewhere around 1767 and 1774, the Royal Crescent is one of the greatest examples of Georgian architecture in all of the UK.

Although some changes have been made to various interior designs over the years, the Georgian-style stone facade remains the same as when it was originally built. As such, you are treated to a timeless addition of Bath that remains largely unchanged.

It is here that you will learn of the storied history surrounding the Royal Crescent and all the famous faces that have visited it over the years.

Bath Abbey

Bath Abbey is a historical holy place that serves as one of the most peaceful parts of a Bath visit. For more than a thousand years, Bath Abbey has served as a place for Christian worship. However, the monastery has undergone many changes during this time.

Its changes echo how the city of Bath has experienced its own rise and fall of wealth, as well as many major conflicts, architectural and religious reforms, and even two world wars. In spite of all that, Bath Abbey still stands tall to this day.

As such, it has become an indispensable place for worshipers and tourists.
