Eat a la carte at a fixed price

Hotel guests staying with us on dinner terms may choose any dishes from the a la carte menu marked * plus a choice from the selection of home made desserts. Alternatively you may select dishes up to the total value of £22 per person.

First Courses

Melon with Parma ham and figs

served with a light citrus dressing

served with marie rose sauce

served with granary toast and fruit chutney


Grills

All our grills are served with a choice of chunkey chips or baked potato, field mushrooms, roasted vine tomato and watercress.



Choose a sauce to compliment your steak £1.50 each. Bordelaise Sauce, Pepper Sauce, Blue Cheese Sauce and Additional seasonal vegetable or salad £2.00.

FISH SELECTION ...

* Red snapper

pan fried and served on a bed of wilted greens with a saffron and white wine sauce

Sea bass

roasted with lemon, thyme and nut brown butter

* Baked loin of cod

wrapped in pancetta, served with asparagus and lemon and white wine butter

 

PASTA AND VEGETARIAN DISHES

* Roasted butternut squash

topped with fresh basil, mozzarella and vine tomatoes, served with a pesto dressing

* Haricot bean loaf

served with a Provencale sauce

* Hot roasted mediterranean vegetable salad with couscous

 

* Wild mushroom tagliatelle

wild mushrooms sauteed in garlic butter and thyme finished with a white wine sauce


All main corses other than grills are served with your choice of potatoe - buttered, new, baked or chunky chips (unless otherwise stated) and vegetables in season or a mixed salad.
