"A warm, friendly welcome”
From the moment we checked in, this was a delightful stay. The staff were unfailingly helpful and welcoming, from the receptionists to the restaurant staff. They were not only efficient, but also warm and friendly, chatting to us about what we had done during the day, as well as helping us with advice. The dinner was also excellent, and the room was clean and well-appointed.
"Girly weekend away”
Really friendly British hotel. Heidi was superb from booking over the phone to checking out. Clean rooms with nice white, clean sheets and towels. All toiletries supplied along with a selection of teas, coffee, biscuits, chocolates and bottled water. We only stayed 2 nights but our towels were changed and the room was given a tidy up after our first night, water replaced etc. Food was excellent. Wonderful choice for breakfast. Champagne cream tea was included in our stay, which was served when it fitted in with our weekend plans. We hit the Gin Bar, shops, Thermae Spa and even hired bikes to see the sites. We hope to return in the near future.
Stayed for two nights on a Christmas shopping trip and it was even better than my stay last year! The new beds were extremely comfortable and I am very hard to please as my hip plays up whenever I have an uncomfortable bed. The rooms are lovely and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and we even had a lovely boy singing with guitar one evening. I think it is an excellent hotel and great value for money!
"One of the best hotels we have stayed in”
We always look forward to going back to this hotel. Staff are fantastic and go above and beyond to help, special thanks to Will, Marion and Maureen. Rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. The hotel is in an old building and has the odd creaky floorboard and traditional features, it all adds to the charm of the place. Food is great, the breakfast is freshly cooked and not to be missed. Service is good and staff are very polite and very friendly. Parking is very limited but you can park on the station car park opposite. We have left our car there and it seems quite safe. A great base to explore from. There is free wifi in the rooms.
