We want to remain as positive as possible at this difficult time for all of us so we are treating this more as an enforced ‘hibernation’ (a Spring one!) and we look forward to our ‘reawakening’ some time soon.
During this period of hibernation we hope to retain all of our wonderful staff so that we reopen with confidence that we can once again provide our lovely customers with good food and great service as we have done over the past 25 years that we have owned The Royal.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers and especially our fantastic Loyalty Card members who support us so much – we are so grateful.
Until we see you again please, please stay safe and remain positive .
Mike and The Royal Team
With a long standing tradition of delivering hospitality to the highest standards, The Royal has been established for more than 150 years. We are conveniently situated in the heart of Bath only a short walk away from the best attractions in the city. Beautiful Bath … the gateway to the lovely Cotswolds.
The Royal is a Grade II listed building and first opened as a hotel in 1846. The present owners have owned it since 1995. Our lovely hotel has undergone a programme of refurbishment and upgrading to improve our facilities whilst maintaining the classic architectural style of the property, which was designed by the renowned engineer and architect Brunel. All of our rooms are individually decorated and very well maintained and our restaurant – Brasserie Brunel – has been styled to capture the atmosphere of a Parisian brasserie.
Our cherished reputation for food, hospitality, a relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff set us apart from other Bath city centre hotels.
Enjoy a relaxing and refreshing short break with us at The Royal Hotel in Bath city centre. Please take a tour of our website and discover the many ways we can ensure that your short holiday can be truly enjoyable.
