We think this is the ideal time of year for a quiet weekend in our accommodation in Bath. The crowds have packed up their shopping bags and retreated home and the cobbled streets are almost empty. If you fancy exploring the city on foot and losing yourself in its history at your own pace this is the perfect time to visit Bath, and there’s always plenty to discover.
Start your visit at the Visitor Information Centre beside the beautiful Bath Abbey, you’ll find ideas on things to see and do during your stay as well as enough information to keep you learning about the Georgian city long after you’re back at home. The centre opens every day of the week throughout the year (open times may vary from season to season) and the friendly staff know everything there is to know about the city and what you shouldn’t miss.
The visitor centre welcomes more than 535,000 visitors every year, and you can purchase your Bath Visitor Card there for just £3. This will entitle you to exclusive discounts throughout the city and they’re valid for three weeks once you’ve bought one. The cards are accepted at various shops, restaurants and visitor attractions across the city.
