I had originally booked a 2 day break with woucher for a stay in April but due to the pandemic this was cancelled. The hotel was absolutely fantastic in changing the booking. Truly worth the wait !!
The hotel is directly opposite the station , great for us non drivers however they do offer parking arrangements. Could not fault the check in process very friendly and welcoming. Our room was on 2nd floor, small lift in the hotel but ample enough for 2 plus bags. Room was very clean and comfortable. Lovely to see an individual teapot and cafetière with fresh coffee. Hospitality tray was overflowing with choice. Bed was 2 singles pushed together but didn’t notice this when sleeping. There was 2 individual duvets on the bed but this was not an issue as it stopped the other half stealing all of it during the night.. LOL… A fan was also provided in the room which was most welcome. Being at the front of the property and on main road noise from traffic was not obtrusive even with window open.
We had booked the dinner & breakfast and yet again could not fault anything. The choices on offer was amazing something for everyone. Breakfast and dinner was fabulous and all the team are a credit to the hotel for their customer service. Social distancing was adhered to at all times and face masks worn by staff.
There are numerous hand sanitisers throughout the hotel and signs asking to wear face masks and it was very well organised for any seating arrangements.
Great location to reach all the tourist attractions and very comfortable at the end of a long day.
