Myself & two friends had a 2 night weekend Spa break at the Royal Hotel in March.

We had a wonderful weekend which included a delicious 3 course dinner on the first night, a champagne afternoon tea on the saturday afternoon, a 2 hour session at the Thermae Spa on the saturday tea-time & a wonderful breakfast on both mornings.

Given the Hotel was in a busy, central location the whole break felt incredibly relaxed & chilled. The location was great to access all the sights, shops, travel links etc.

The Staff were amazing, friendly, polite & so accommodating but professional at all times making us feel very welcome & valued. Receptionist Tim was a delight to chat to & so very helpful, the whole team working our weekend were just lovely.

The whole Hotel had a relaxed atmosphere & nothing was too much trouble.

The only reason I have given it 4 stars instead of 5 stars was because the bed I slept in was the 3rd bed in the bedroom & it felt more like a “put you up bed” rather than a proper bed. The mattress felt very squidgy & unsupportive so not particularly comfortable however the other 2 beds in the room were fine.

I would highly recommend this wonderful hotel & all that it has to offer, it was so nice to find a “little gem”, with amazing staff & come away feeling like we’ve had the best time, thank you to everyone there :0)
