We stayed for 2 nights in a triple room, and chose the hotel for its central location, a short level walk to the Abbey and historic centre but just across the road from the modern shopping centre, train station and stops for the open top bus tours. The staff where super, efficient and welcoming; COVID restrictions ( well organised) meant we couldnt eat in the brasserie so we eat in the bar.– the food was freshly cooked and tasty. Very good breakfast with a great selection cooked to order. Limited parking ( pre book spaces behind the hotel if you can) meant we parked in the Manvers St car park which was not a problem. The bedroom decor was slightly dated but everywhere was spotlessly clean & beds very comfy. Will definitely return to take advantage of their spa offer when the Thermal spa re- opens.
