We recently made a last minute booking at the Royal Hotel, chosen because it is just across the road from Bath Spa train and coach stations. Wish we had planned to stay longer in this gem of a hotel. It’s in an older building but our room was beautifully maintained and very comfortable. We initially thought we would have trouble sleeping due to the location but we had no problems. I was really impressed by the genuine friendliness and helpfulness of the receptionist, who even went out of her way to help us organise a hire car. Dinner in the Brasserie was really good, with impeccable service.
