It’s an exciting time of year here in Bath as the Bath Half Marathon (affectionately known as the ‘Bath Half’) takes place on 2nd March. Yes, the brave runners will be checking their trainers still fit and creating motivational playlists as they get ready to run their socks off in the name of charity. Whether you’re getting ready to join the runners or just to go and cheer them on it’s bound to be a fantastic atmosphere throughout the city.
The Bath Half is one of the UK’s most established charity events and it raises more than £1.5 million every year. Thanks to the flat, level nature of the marathon course it’s a popular one for first timers and is suitable for runners of all levels of ability – and that means a real mix of people and a great day for all. The course is completely free from traffic and includes stints on either side of the River Avon, and it begins and finishes in Great Pulteney Street.
