What’s on in Bath this February?

Ok so Christmas is behind us and the New Year has come and gone, but that doesn’t mean the excitement has to stop. Spa breaks in Bath are just the way to fight off those post-Christmas blues and pamper yourself after all the festive fun, and there’s plenty to enjoy in the city at the same time.

Victoria Art Gallery never lets us down and it’s hosting Ione Parkin: primal matter until the start of the month, finishing on 2nd February. The exhibition includes beautiful abstract paintings created with an emphasis on the theme of diversity. You’ll find the gallery right in the heart of the city centre, beside the landmark Pulteney Bridge. Why not take a stroll around the museum and then enjoy a walk over the River Avon by crossing the world-famous bridge?

Don’t worry if you don’t make this early exhibition, February will see Peter Brown: keep the home fires burning and Anna Dougherty: still life paintings run until the 27th March. Peter Brown’s new collection is dedicated to depicting the city of Bath, so a visit to the city will be even more special for enjoying the artist’s unique take on the landmarks that make it stand out.
