Christmas in Bath

Such a wonderful cozy hotel. Perfectly located in the center of town and opposite the Bus/Train Station which made it easy for local wandering and travel further afield. In the entry way to the hotel was a large fireplace and a picture window which had been elegantly decorated with Christmas lights and a real Christmas tree adorned with tinsel and ornaments stood next to it warmly welcoming any visitors inside. The hotel staff greeted us warmly and explained the hotel’s breakfast hours and restaurant bookings swiftly. Use of a small lift is available which took us up to our 3rd floor room. The hotel is nicely decorated with simple drawings of prominent locations around Bath like the Roman Baths, Bath Abby the Royal Crescent and the hotel too. Our room was very cozy with a very comfortable bed with down eiderdown and pillows, a roomy wardrobe with hairdryer and hangers, large desk with coffee and tea making facilities and snacks. A flat screen TV was situated on top of the chest of draws at the end of the bed with a remote.
The bathroom was very clean and well stocked with soft towels and face cloths. A wall heater kept the towels warm which was really nice. Good shower and plenty of soaps and shampoos.
The staff at the hotel were all very friendly, kind and helpful, going out of their way to accommodate any questions or taxis ordering we may need. Over our stay we became accustomed to spending time in the lounge/bar where we made ourselves very at home with the easy chairs and lounges, enjoying the full bar and afternoon Cream Teas which were made available to us through the hotel staff. The food was delicious. Breakfast was available in the main dining room Le Burnel and consisted of a choice of breads, yoghurts, fresh fruits and cereal or a lovely variety of choices from the Al a Carte Menu. My favourite was the full English with poached eggs, bacon sausage, baked beans and wheat grain hot toast! Always a lovely pot of tea or hot coffee too and all served with a lovely smile and friendly face. It was definitely the best choice of accommodation for us and we will certainly be staying here again.
