On arrival at the hotel it was obvious from the roadworks that we could not park there. We parked about two minutes walk away from the hotel it was not a bother as we would not need the car again. The hotel is situated in the centre of Bath. Our welcome by the Manager Tim Dyer was wonderful, he was very welcoming to us and a credit to the Hotel an extremely professional young man. We had a room on the third floor , very nice with everything you would need for an overnight stay. The Hospitality Tray was fabulous even providing a cafetière for the coffee lovers amongst us. The Hotel location was central across the street from the rail and bus links. And a two minute step to the main shopping area. Tim was able to suggest places to visit but we were meeting family not really sightseeing this visit. Our evening meal was one of the finest ever had and we would like to send a Thank You to the chef and waiting staff for the marvellous service. Breakfast was equally as good adhering to Covid guidelines with a buffet and hot course the amazing breakfast menu far outranked many hotels we have stayed in in previous years. This Hotel may not be seen through the Rose tinted spectacles I wore as in places it is old but in character to the Brunel years but remains excellent in my eye. I will definitely book to go back.
